چکیده

Abstract Many nations are already working toward full implementation of energy efficiency in buildings known as Green Building. In line with this perspective, paper aims to develop a thermally efficient precast concrete sandwich panels (PCSP) for structural applications. Therefore, an experimental investigation was carried out determine the thermal resistance proposed PCSP using Hotbox method and results were validated finite element (FEM) COMSOL Multiphysics Software. The designed staggered shear connectors avoid bridges between successive layers. spaced at 200 mm, 300 mm 400 on each layer, while control panel is direct connection. test, four (4) 500 × 150 thick subjected Test resistance. result shows that connection increases increase spacing. indicates best ( R value) 2.48 m 2 K/W. performance verified by FEA which less than 5% error coupled precise prediction surface temperature gradient. This that, conventional materials, path approach can be used building better resistant properties. Hopefully, stakeholders green industry would find alternative load bearing towards sustainable greener buildings.

Composite Behavior of Insulated Concrete Sandwich Wall Panels Subjected to Wind Pressure and Suction

A full-scale experimental test was conducted to analyze the composite behavior of insulated concrete sandwich wall panels (ICSWPs) subjected to wind pressure and suction. The experimental program was composed of three groups of ICSWP specimens, each with a different type of insulation and number of glass-fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) shear grids. The degree of composite action of each specime...

Connections for Precast Concrete Load-bearing Shear Wall Panels

Precast load-bearing shear wall panels are used extensively for high-rise construction because of the ease and speed of assembly, and the high quality of the precast panels. The connections between panels are extremely important since they affect both the speed of erection '~md the overall integrity of the structure. This paper presents the results of a four-year research program conducted to i...

Precast Concrete Elements

Lattice-girder floor slabs and double-wall elements have been successfully used in building and industrial construction for decades. These precast elements of 50 – 70 mm thickness serve as permanent formwork for the subsequently added in-situ concrete creating a monolithic structure. The high prefabrication level allows the construction period to be significantly minimized. The main goal is the...

Designing a prefabricated sandwich composite roofing system Made up of resisting facings and light-weight concrete core with truss-shaped connectors

In this paper, a new roofing system is introduced, which is constructued using the precast composite sandwich panels. This roofing sandwich panels system consists of three kinds of precast concrete sandwich panels including capital panels, beam or between columns panels, and slab or middle panels. The panels are composed of three layers; A high strength reinforced concrete top layer. A thick la...
